Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking psychology graduates to join a large SEN provision in Manchester as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils aged 11-19, help with emotional and academic development, and work closely with teachers to create engaging resources.

A recent psychology qualification is preferred, with safeguarding training and DBS checks arranged if needed. The role runs Monday to Friday, during school hours, with a supportive environment and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Recent qualification in Psychology (BSc or MSc).
• Strong desire to support emotional and academic development.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (within the last year) preferred.
• Right to Work in the UK and DBS eligibility.
• Two professional child-related references.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with pupils to support emotional and academic development.
• Communicate with staff, parents and external agencies to monitor progress.
• Assist the class teacher in developing and preparing engaging resources.
