Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in North Manchester. This full-time, long-term role offers support to pupils in the SEN Hub and potential to progress toward a permanent position.

We seek graduates with prior experience in SEN or education, a relevant degree, and strong communication skills to build positive relationships with pupils. DBS Update Service is desirable, with an ASAP start preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people or in education.
• Genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN.
• Relevant degree or strong educational background.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• DBS on Update Service desirable to start ASAP.
• References covering last 2 years, including academic and employment references where applicable.
• Employment references should cover your most recent regulated activity involving working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the SEN Hub within a mainstream secondary school.
• Work in a full-time, long-term role with teaching staff and the SEN team.
• Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs.
