Clockwork Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated Graduate or experienced sales professional to join our client’s team as a Business Adviser, based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The role involves visiting retail outlets, educating staff and building strong relationships with decision-makers to promote products and optimise sales strategies.

You will meet weekly, monthly and annual KPIs, plan and organise your workload, and travel within the designated area.

Qualifications

• Graduate or experienced sales professional with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Graduate or experienced sales professional to join our client's team as a Business Adviser based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. This role is a 12 month contact and you will be responsible for visiting retail outlets such as supermarkets, petrol stations, independent shops, and Cash and Carry's within your designated area, ensuring product availability, educating staff, and building strong relationships with decision-makers. Your daily activities will involve promoting products, and analysing store data to optimise sales strategies. You will play a key role in meeting weekly, monthly, and annual KPIs such as store visit targets, distribution levels, and product availability. Your ability to plan and organise your workload in line with business objectives, combined with effective negotiation and relationship-building skills, will be crucial to your success in this role.

• Previous experience in field sales or a relevant background as a graduate with strong interpersonal skills
• Relationship-building skills with a wide range of people, including shop owners and staff
• Excellent planning and organisational abilities to manage daily store visits and data collection
• Proven problem-solving skills and commercial thinking to adapt to different retail environments
• A valid driving licence and the ability to travel within the designated geographical area
• Analytical skills to interpret store data, sales performance, and competitor activity
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and educate retail staff on product placement and category management
