Job summary

KLA in Newport, United Kingdom, is offering a Graduate RF Engineer role as part of a 2027 intake. You will join a product design team working on RF hardware for CVD, PVD, or Etch products and gain on-the-job training through a comprehensive graduate development scheme.

You will work with RF design and test equipment, rotate through teams, and benefit from mentoring, classroom training, and soft-skills development as you start your career in a global tech leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (2:1) in electrical/electronic engineering or physics.
• Applicants with a Master’s Degree or prior experience in semiconductor industry desirable but not required.
• Strong numerical and problem solving abilities with good MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct prototype electronics and RF hardware including RF plasma delivery systems and matching units.
• Develop RF matching unit circuitry, networks, transformers and filters.
• Handle DC bias and PCB design packages for RF electronics.
• Perform electromagnetic and RF modelling and testing.
• Operate RF test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, RF probes.
