Job summary

AECOM is seeking collaborative graduates in Swindon to join the Systems Engineering & Systems Assurance (SESA) group on railway projects. You will work across the engineering lifecycle with signalling, track, rolling stock and other disciplines, gradually taking ownership of defined tasks under mentorship.

Qualifications

• BEng, BSc or MEng in Systems Engineering or related field with 2:1 (or equivalent).
• Interest in rail systems and multidisciplinary engineering.
• Analytical, curious mindset and ability to understand interactions within complex systems.
• Clear communication within multidisciplinary teams; willingness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support Systems Engineering, Systems Integration and Systems Assurance activities on live rail and infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to system definitions: boundaries, functions, interfaces, assumptions and context.
• Support requirements management: capture, review, allocation, traceability, change and compliance.
• Assist with systems integration and interface management to resolve multidisciplinary issues.
• Contribute to V&V planning, evidence development and technical reviews.
• Prepare Systems Engineering plans, integration strategies, and compliance records.
• Contribute to systems safety and risk activities, including hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients and stakeholders across disciplines.
