Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team in Hull on retail fit‑out projects. You will work alongside experienced surveyors and gain hands-on exposure to the commercial management of retail schemes across the UK.

The role focuses on developing your skills in procurement, cost reporting and project cost control, with full training provided and opportunities to progress to managing your own projects.

Qualifications

• You will ideally have a 2:1 degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related subject.
• You should have a genuine interest in developing a career within quantity surveying and construction.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Quantity Surveyors with the commercial management of projects.

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Salary: £27,000 £30,000 per annum

About you

You are a recent Quantity Surveying graduate looking to take the next step and build your career within a successful commercial team.

You will ideally have achieved a 2:1 degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related subject and be keen to put your academic knowledge into practice within a live construction environment.

You do not need previous experience in retail fit-out. What matters most is that you have the right attitude, a willingness to learn and the ambition to develop into a confident Quantity Surveyor.

You will be joining an experienced commercial team who will support you from day one, giving you the training, guidance and exposure you need to develop your career.

Ideally, you will live within around one hour's commute of Hull, as the role will be office based with some travel depending on the projects you are working on.

What you will be doing with your experience

You will join an established commercial team and work alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors who will help you develop your skills and knowledge.

As you progress, you will become involved in the commercial management of retail fit-out and refurbishment projects for major clients across the UK.

Your role will include:
