Our Program is 2 years and from day one, you’ll be working on live projects, gaining practical experience, and developing your skills with the full support of our expert team. We are looking for an Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work in our Road Surfacing Division. We are the 3rd largest asphalt laying contractor in the UK and build a wide range of roads from our Strategic Road Network (Motorways and A Roads) to Local Council roads.
After completing the programme the career pathway leads to Quantity Surveyor role where you’ll take ownership of commercial delivery on key projects. You’ll apply everything you’ve learned to lead cost management, support junior colleagues, and influence project outcomes.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you are responsible, in conjunction with the Operations personnel.
The financial management and performance of all allocated complex and significant (greater than £1m value) contracts.
Change management
Formal contractual notifications
Negotiation of acceptable/favourable Contract terms
Claim management/mitigation
Responsibility to ensure that revenue is promptly applied for and collected in line with the terms of the contract
Expected to operate with a degree of autonomy and maturity.
