Job summary

Mott MacDonald is hiring a Graduate Planning Consultant to help plan, lead and deliver multi‑sector programmes that shape communities and the environment. You’ll collaborate with design, engineering and management teams, contributing to visionary planning, strategy and digital innovation.

We look for graduates with a degree in engineering or related fields, a strong growth mindset, and a readiness to work across diverse projects from environmental to transport and property.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction management or a similar subject.
• Evidence of genuine interest in the opportunity and in joining Mott MacDonald.

Responsibilities

• Continuously engage, communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Co-create and maintain project schedules with cross-functional teams, aligning scope, contracts, and milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate insights for informed decisions.
• Develop visual planning tools – exploring and using various software/AI – to enhance clarity and collaboration.
• Partner with cost, risk, change, and information management colleagues to ensure seamless delivery.
• Champion best practices in planning and digital systems to guide teams toward excellence.
• Attend client and team meetings, presenting data and insights with confidence.
• Prepare reports highlighting performance, forecasts and strategic planning.
