Job summary

L&Q Living is seeking a ambitious graduate to join the Pre-Construction team in London, Stratford, to train as a Pre-Construction Project Manager. You will support the Regional Manager and Major Works Team to ensure projects are fully prepared before work begins.

Responsibilities include reviewing data, inspections, party wall notices, planning applications, and leasehold compliance, while developing construction and commercial management knowledge with experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2.1 degree (or higher) in a built environment subject.
• Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
• Initiative-taking with a desire to learn and progress your career.
• Understanding of Excel.
• Enthusiasm for working in project management and construction.
• Excellent communication and customer skills.

Contract Type: Fixed term contract - 2 years

Reporting Office: London, Stratford

Location: London - West Ham Lane, Stratford

Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Grade: Graduate / Early Talent grade

Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Salary: £31,000 per annum

We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our busy and supportive Pre-Construction team and train as a Pre-Construction Project Manager.

About the Role

Working across our London and North West housing stock, you will support the Pre-Construction Regional Manager and Major Works Team to ensure projects are fully prepared before work begins.

Projects may include:

• Kitchen and bathroom refurbishments
• Window and roof replacements
• Mechanical and electrical works
• Other planned improvement programmes

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing programme and asset data
• Carrying out pre-work inspections
• Assisting with party wall notices
• Supporting planning applications where required
• Ensuring works are compliant with leasehold requirements
• Liaising with consultants and contractors

Alongside this, you will develop your understanding of construction, design and build, specifications, and commercial management.

From day one, you will be given meaningful responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to live projects. You'll be supported by experienced Project Managers and your Line Manager, who will help you develop your skills and confidence throughout the programme.
