The Job You’ll Do:
- Planning, organising, and controlling production activities through the Production Supervisors
- Preparing production plans based on forecasts, stock levels, and orders
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, company policies, H&S, quality (ISO 9001), and environmental (ISO 14001) standards
- Managing resources within the production area, including reporting on performance and attendance to the General Manager
- Maintaining profitable and efficient throughput of production items, including packaging and transport
- Liaising with the quality department, General Manager, and Project and Tooling Manager as necessary
- Assisting with forecasting and production planning, including adjustments due to business volume changes
- Reviewing and approving monthly production schedules
- Providing daily reports on production, rejects, and scrap
- Coordinating with Procurement and Production Coordinators to ensure accurate records
- Forecasting manpower needs and allocating workloads to meet customer delivery schedules
- Addressing performance issues through human resources or machinery/equipment improvements
- Implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance plans
- Participating in disciplinary actions, leave applications, overtime, and ISO documentation as needed
About You:
- Mechanical Engineering qualifications or background (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, HND, Degree) are highly desirable
- Experience in production planning, control, process, or engineering roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Confident and professional, capable of being the first point of contact for customers
- Strong organisational and communication skills at all levels
- Ability to adapt quickly to change in a flexible organisation
- Excellent attention to detail
