Job summary

Sweco UK Ltd in Leeds is launching its Autumn 2027 Graduate Scheme for Process Engineers within the Water & Asset Management Division. The role involves supporting process design, hazard studies, DSEAR and COSHH assessments, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver sustainable water solutions.

The two-year blended learning program combines virtual and in-person masterclasses, mentors, and a pathway to professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Less than 12 months of relevant work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools.
• Self-motivated, proactive and solution-oriented.
• Right to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with process design, calculations, mass balance and P&IDs.
• Support hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZID, What-If, LOPA).
• Contribute to DSEAR assessments including hazardous substances and zoning.
• Support COSHH assessments and hazardous substance registers.
• Provide day-to-day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure design output aligns with scope, timescales and budgets.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver project value.
