An inclusive and friendly primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is looking to welcome enthusiastic graduates as Graduate Teaching Assistants from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience ahead of teacher training in 2026.
While degrees in areas such as Psychology, Education, or Health and Social Care are particularly relevant, we encourage graduates from all academic backgrounds to apply.
A full-time, long-term position beginning in September 2025

Practical classroom experience to strengthen your teacher training applications

Support teaching staff with lesson delivery, group activities, and one-on-one interventions
Help students improve their reading, writing, numeracy, and social development

Work closely with experienced educators and learn first-hand how schools function daily
Develop essential teaching and classroom management skills
Graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline
Strong interest from candidates with backgrounds in Psychology, Education, or Social Care
A genuine enthusiasm for working with primary-aged children
Excellent communication, a professional mindset, and a proactive attitude
Adaptability, patience, and a team-focused approach
Prior experience working with children is a bonus, but not required
