Job Title: Graduate Operations Manager

As a Graduate Operations Manager, you will be responsible for learning how to lead the operational and financial performance of the contract, delivering work safely, on time, and meeting key customer expectations. You will be a key member of the contract succession plan, learning from existing Operations Managers across different functions with the aspiration to lead in the future.

Key Responsibilities

You will learn to lead specific tasks alongside existing Operations Managers, including:

• Maintaining contract compliance with the dig crews, including chairing the daily Toughbook compliance meetings and re-implementing the team dashboard for compliance metrics.
• Managing the BW Contract fleet, plant, and logistics, ensuring proper allocation and regular audits.
• Leading depot operations, maintaining H&S compliance, inductions, and delivery procedures.
• Supporting the Logistics Manager in stocking consumables, including emergency OOH stock.
• Establishing a dedicated training/induction facility within the yard.
• Becoming an expert in company and contract induction processes.
• Managing daily jeopardy exercises to maximize dig crew efficiency.
• Understanding reinstatement types and planning works for backfill, reinstatement, and site clearance activities.
• Gaining a basic understanding of street works legislation, NRSWA, Section 74 compliance, and permit management.
• Developing an interest in the engineering aspects of highway reinstatement, with the goal of coaching others in related departments.

Experience and Qualifications

• Recent graduate in a relevant field.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
