Lorien seeks a Graduate Operations / Middle Office Analyst for a 6-month contract in Glasgow. You will support middle office activities, monitor trade lifecycles, and resolve reconciliation breaks in a fast-paced markets environment.

Ideal candidates have completed internships in financial services, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication with stakeholders. This role offers hybrid Glasgow work arrangement and exposure across operations, markets and risk functions.

Qualifications

• Degree educated (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business or similar)
• Prior internship or placement experience within an investment bank, asset manager, fund administrator, custodian bank or financial services firm
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day middle office and operational activities
• Trade lifecycle monitoring and exception management
• Investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks
• Working closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations and external counterparties
• Assisting with reporting, data analysis and process improvement initiatives
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring adherence to controls
