Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is recruiting a Graduate MEICA Engineer (Electrical) to join its Infrastructure team. The role is site-based, with the initial project in the Southwest region, offering hands-on experience from day one and mentoring toward professional accreditation.

You will work on MEICA electrical systems within water infrastructure, develop knowledge across electrical power, control and instrumentation, and support delivery from design through to handover.

Qualifications

• A degree or forthcoming graduation in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control and Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field (2:2 or above).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support design, coordination and delivery of MEICA electrical engineering solutions for water projects.
• Develop understanding of electrical power distribution, control and protection systems.
• Assist with reviews of electrical designs, drawings, specs and calculations.
• Gain exposure to switchgear, motor control centres, motors and variable speed drives.
• Learn instrumentation, control and automation systems and their role in water treatment processes.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
• Support design reviews and identify opportunities to improve safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and equipment manufacturers.
• Assist with inspections, testing and commissioning activities and documentation.
