Job summary

Ridge & Partners Llp in Cardiff is recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer as part of the Autumn 2027 Evolve graduate programme. You will gain on-the-job learning across building services design, including heating, cooling, ventilation, water and other mechanical systems, while collaborating with clients, architects and engineers.

You’ll be supported by mentors, CPD opportunities and a formal development plan to help you progress toward professional chartership during the two-year

Qualifications

• 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, or a closely related subject.
• Or a bachelor’s degree in another subject accompanied by a relevant Master’s degree.
• Permanent Right to Work in the UK with no visa sponsorship required.
• Available to start full-time from September 2027.
• Built Environment passion and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience designing and specifying building services such as heating, cooling, ventilation and water systems.
• Work on buildings and developments across sectors under experienced professionals.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors to deliver projects.

Education

2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering

2:1 degree in Building Services Engineering

Bachelor’s degree with relevant Master’s degree
