Job summary

Sigma Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the UK design team, supporting the design, drawing and validation of the product range under guidance from senior engineers. You will develop and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, apply mechanical engineering principles to structural and functional design challenges, and contribute to design reviews, prototyping and documentation.

On site in Lichfield, 37.5 h/week, salary £28,000–£30,000 plus pension, health plan and other

Qualifications

• A degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline.
• Exposure to 3D CAD (SolidWorks or major package).
• The appetite to learn and develop design skills within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings to the required standards and tolerances.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to structural and functional design challenges.
• Support product analysis and contribute to design improvements.
• Get hands-on with prototyping, first-off sample reviews and engineering documentation.
• Gather feedback from operations to inform design decisions.
• Take part in design reviews and contribute technical input.
