Sweco UK is recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the Building Services division. The role offers involvement in prestigious UK projects, from thermal analysis to building energy strategies, with hands-on design development and on-site visits.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree, under 12 months of experience, and be fluent with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit. The programme blends learning with practical delivery, in a flexible hybrid setting with career growth across

Qualifications

• Have a degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
• Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
• Are confident using Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools.
• Are driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Can work in the UK without restrictions either now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work as an integral team member on prestigious UK construction projects alongside architects and engineers.
• Carry out thermal analysis and assess ventilation loads for central plant and systems.
• Compare design proposals and develop the building with the design team for passive and active solutions.
• Develop the building energy strategy to adopt sustainable mechanical design systems.
• Select plant and equipment to develop mechanical plantroom configurations.
• Write technical reports, design presentations and prepare tender drawings/specifications.
• Use thermal modelling software and CAD including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Visit construction sites and observe system commissioning.
