Job summary

RED is offering a structured graduate programme in building services design, focused on data centres and hyperscale facilities. You’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and tailored support toward achieving chartership while working on live projects with industry experts.

The programme combines technical training with business skills, backed by industry-leading software and site exposure, with a hybrid working arrangement and a supportive, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline
• Willingness to pursue Chartered Engineer status
• Basic knowledge of BIM and engineering software
• Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• Strong IT skills (MS Office, spreadsheets)
• Desirable exposure to industry but not required
• Proactive, enthusiastic approach with ownership mindset
• Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of building services engineering projects for data centres
• Engage in structured training and mentoring to progress toward chartership
• Explore emerging technologies and provide fresh ideas for live projects
• Work with experienced engineers, project managers and clients across disciplines
• Use engineering and design software to develop technical solutions
• Visit project sites to inspect and understand how designs translate to reality
• Support project documentation and information management to ensure delivery standards
