Job summary

Cundall is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Critical Systems Engineer to join our UK and international projects. You’ll design mechanical building services and provide consultancy input across sectors, with guidance from senior engineers.

Duration involves developing skills in ventilation, cooling, heating and sustainability. You’ll progress with accredited development programs from CIBSE and IMechE and work toward chartership while contributing to projects such as data centres and headquarters

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Passion for innovative and sustainable mechanical engineering for the built environment.
• Desire for personal and professional development and ability to work in a team.
• Understand parametric modelling techniques (Grasshopper or Dynamo) or at least one programming language (Python, C#, VB).
• Organised and methodical with task and priority management; meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultancy input on projects across education, healthcare, workplace, retail and data centres.
• Undertake detailed mechanical building services design and analysis.
• Translate client needs into designs for buildings, facilities and services (ventilation, cooling, heating, etc.).
• Develop professional skills under experienced engineers and progress toward chartership.
