About Us:
Kite Magnetics is an advanced materials company based in Notting Hill, Victoria. Founded in 2022, we are commercialising Aeroperm, a lightweight nanocrystalline magnetic material developed at Monash University that enables electric motors and generators to be significantly more efficient, compact and lightweight. Our mission is to reduce global emissions and energy waste by improving the performance of electric machines in transport, renewable energy and industrial applications. In 2025, we are building out a new pilot scale production facility in Melbourne to scale up our manufacturing capability and support our growing customer base. As part of our engineering team, you will work alongside experienced materials, mechatronics and automation engineers on real world projects that push the boundaries of materials science and manufacturing. Position Overview:
As a Graduate Materials and Process Engineer at Kite Magnetics, you will play an important role in developing the next generation of magnetic materials for high-efficiency electric motors and generators. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers in both laboratory and small-scale manufacturing environments, contributing to real-world testing, materials characterisation, and process improvement activities. This role offers early-career engineers the chance to apply their technical knowledge in a practical setting, develop new skills, and gain exposure to a growing Australian advanced manufacturing company. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team working on projects with tangible environmental and industrial impact.
