Staff Process Engineer II / III

Role Overview:

This role involves delivering high-quality process engineering design within proposals, studies, project execution, and operations, as part of a study and/or project team. The work must adhere to design and engineering standards, procedures, schedules, and budgets, with a focus on quality standards, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

Activities are dedicated to a specific project.

1. Analyze project specifications, tender, and proposal requirements.
2. Contribute to the development of design parameters and methodologies.
3. Prepare technically correct, safe, environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and timely discipline engineering analyses and solutions for approval, including:

• Design basis
• Process description
• PFDs and heat & material balances
• MSD and material selection philosophy
• Control schemes
• Process and Utility P&ID’s
• Equipment & instrumentation datasheets
• Utilities and chemicals consumption summaries
• Simulations and calculations

Provide support to all project activities, from engineering to start-up, as required.

Interface with other process engineering disciplines and design teams.

Assist in developing process knowledge databases for studies, projects, and operations by capturing and reporting events and experiences, and writing technical notes.

Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities as needed.

Report activities within studies, projects, and/or operations management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• University degree in chemical engineering.
• Theoretical knowledge of process design methods and tools.
• Initial, solid experience in Oil & Gas Processing, Refining, and/or Ethylene/Petrochemicals, preferably with an engineering contractor.
