Job summary

Terex Corporation is seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to support development and improvement of manufacturing systems, procedures and equipment in a dynamic environment in Cookstown. You will engage in continuous improvement opportunities and support production with tooling and process enhancements.

The role emphasizes lean techniques, involvement in ECOs, time studies, and cross-functional problem solving, with opportunities to learn across ERP/MRP, 3D modeling, and fabrication aspects.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC / HND Engineering Qualification or Degree and ability to demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on-job experience.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft packages.
• Experience with 3D modeling software would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Machine Shop and Fabrication would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support review of current manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Establish containment strategy for manufacturing issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to maximize process flow and ensure manufacture of major sub-components and completed machines.
• Implement ECOs for manufacturing processes with effective communication and record-keeping.
• Complete time studies to enable accurate production planning and labor management.
• Participate in the NPPD process, advising on tooling/fixtures requirements and overseeing prototype manufacture.
• Take part in cross-functional problem solving.

Join our Team: Graduate Manufacturing Engineer Location: Cookstown

Hours: 39.75 hours per week

The Graduate Manufacturing Engineer will gain fantastic experience working on the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, procedures, and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Supporting the review of current manufacturing processes to identify and action continuous improvement opportunities.
• Establish and implement a containment strategy for manufacturing issues followed by effective root-cause analysis and follow-through of agreed corrective actions.
• Engage best practice lean manufacturing techniques (including 5S, Poke Yoke, Problem Solves) to maximize process flow, to ensure manufacture major sub-components and completed machines.
• Implement ECOs for manufacturing processes using effective communication and record-keeping techniques.
• Complete time studies to allow for accurate production planning and labor management.
• Participate and assist in the NPPD process, acting as a representative for production with regards to advice on tooling/fixtures requirements for build, establishing safe work processes, and overseeing the manufacturing of prototypes on the production floor.
• Take part in cross-functional problem solving.
