Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support in a Good-rated secondary school in Wolverhampton. You will help pupils manage routines, stay engaged, and access learning across the school day, working with teaching and pastoral staff to support progress under the SEND Code of Practice.

The role offers practical SEN experience focused on Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

Qualifications

• Degree (2:2 or above) in any subject.
• Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs across the school day. You will help pupils manage routines, stay engaged in lessons, regulate behaviour, build confidence, and access learning more successfully, while working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support progress. The SEND Code of Practice remains the core statutory guidance for identifying need, putting support in place, and reviewing its impact in schools.

You are calm, observant, and able to build positive relationships through consistency and clear communication. You want practical secondary school experience, you can stay patient in a busy setting, and you are interested in how focused support helps young people with Autism, ADHD, and EBD feel more secure and make better progress. Requirements
