Protocol Education in Gateshead is recruiting Psychology & Criminology graduates to join as a Graduate SEND Learning Mentor in a specialist SEND school. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils develop emotional regulation and communication, and collaborating with a dedicated SEND team.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Childhood Studies or Education (or related field)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies
• Support positive behaviour
• Assist with interventions and learning activities
• Encourage communication and social development
• Support pupils to become more confident and independent
• Work as part of a specialist SEND team
