Job summary

Spectrum in Pennington is seeking a Graduate Geospatial/Hydrographic Data Processor to engage in hydrographic data processing and report writing. This role offers a unique opportunity to build key industry-related skills and receive in-house training on industry-standard processing techniques.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Hydrography, Marine Geography, Marine Sciences, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems, motion reference units, side scan sonar and magnetometer systems.
• High attention to detail while under pressure to ensure all relevant information is identified, extracted, and reported.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Bathymetric processing and assist in maintaining quality and consistency of data processing.
• Assist with Reporting, charting & data management.
• Assist with data archive management, ensuring safe storage of data.

Skills

Working knowledge of hydrographic multibeam systems

Ability to work independently and in a team

High attention to detail

Strong verbal communication skills

Excellent data management skills

Education

Degree in Hydrography, Marine Geography or related field
