Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Leeds invites applications for a 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Hydraulic Engineer. You will assist with hydraulic design and pipeline systems for water and wastewater treatment works, and develop hydraulic models to support innovative client solutions.

You will gain hands-on experience using CFD and surge analysis while receiving mentoring toward ICE chartered status, within a supportive multidisciplinary Water team in Leeds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Interest in the water industry.
• Mentorship toward ICE chartered status as part of the graduate development programme.

Responsibilities

• Support hydraulic design and pipeline systems for water and wastewater treatment works.
• Process data and carry out hydraulic calculations to inform design decisions.
• Develop hydraulic models to support delivery of client solutions.
• Use CFD and surge analysis to assess hydraulic performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues across the water sector.
• Develop technical capability through project work, mentoring and structured graduate development.
