Stantec in Leeds invites graduates to join our Water team as a Graduate Hydraulic Engineer, supporting hydraulic design, pipeline systems and treatment works across local and national projects.

You will process data, perform hydraulic calculations, and develop models using CFD and surge analysis, building practical, resilient solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues and benefiting from a structured graduate development program and mentorship toward ICE chartered status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in water sector and hydraulic engineering.
• Willingness to develop technical capability through mentoring and training.

Responsibilities

• Support hydraulic design and pipeline systems for water and wastewater treatment works.
• Process data and carry out hydraulic calculations to inform design decisions.
• Develop hydraulic models to support innovative client solutions.
• Use CFD and surge analysis to assess hydraulic performance, collaborating with colleagues.
