Job summary

BakerHicks offers a dynamic two-year Graduate scheme to launch your career as a Chartered High Voltage Engineer. You’ll combine technical training with professional development through two learning journeys, gaining hands-on experience in the HV department.

From day one you’ll have a personalised plan, mentorship, and ongoing support from experienced engineers as you contribute to diverse, technically complex projects across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• 2:1 in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs, calculations, reports and drawings for EHV projects (11kV–400kV).
• Prepare bonding line diagrams, cable rating assessments, induced voltage analyses, short circuit force evaluations, thermo-mechanical computations, pulling tension assessments, and material specifications.
• Support health and safety reviews, CDM compliance, sustainability and environmental considerations.
