Job summary

Sweco UK Ltd is recruiting for a Graduate Highways Engineer to join the Infrastructure and Environment Division. You will work with experienced engineers to deliver highway projects across England, contributing to design, drawings and calculations while learning through a two-year blended programme.

The role focuses on road geometry, drainage, pavement and traffic elements, with a path to professional accreditation and a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
• Less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
• Confident using Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools.
• Driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deal with design elements from road geometry, drainage and pavement.
• Produce design outputs such as drawings, specifications, schedules and calculations.
• Provide day-to-day technical input as part of a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure design outputs meet scope, timescales and budgets.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements.
