Job summary

Sweco is recruiting Graduates in Highway Engineering to join our Infrastructure and Environment Division in the UK. You will contribute to highways projects across trunk and local roads, delivering designs and analyses as part of a supportive team.

The two-year blended learning Graduate Scheme provides mentoring, structured masterclasses and opportunities for early professional accreditation, with a permanent position and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil/highway engineering or related field.
• Less than 12 months of relevant work experience (placements excluded).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other digital tools.
• Self-motivated, proactive and solution-oriented.
• Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with road geometry, drainage, pavement design and road safety elements.
• Produce design outputs such as drawings and calculations to support projects.
• Provide day-to-day technical input within a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure outputs align with scope, timescales and budgets.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver project requirements.
