Job summary

A leading technical consultancy in Birmingham is looking for a motivated Graduate Highways & Infrastructure Engineer to join their multidisciplinary design team. You will work on transport and civil infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience while supporting a diverse range of clients. This hybrid role offers an opportunity for professional development through a 2-3 year graduate programme. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Civil Engineering and a passion for learning within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Student membership of ICE or CIHT preferred.
• Experience with highways and drainage engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of highways and drainage.
• Prepare design models and technical documents.
• Support feasibility studies and design appraisals.
• Collaborate with engineers and other specialists.

Skills

Willingness to learn and take initiative

Experience with CAD drafting or digital modelling

Competent in Excel and technical report writing

Good organisation and time-management skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Experience presenting technical information

Education

MEng or BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering or related discipline

Student membership of ICE or CIHT
