Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or working towards one
• Interest in one or more civil engineering disciplines
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other industry-standard software
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and ability to collaborate
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Good organisation and time management
• Previous engineering experience via work placement or academic project (beneficial)

Responsibilities

• Produce design solutions, drawings, calculations and technical information with guidance from experienced engineers
• Gain hands-on experience on smaller projects before progressing to larger schemes
• Work across multiple projects and sectors with challenges and opportunities to develop
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, clients and other disciplines to deliver sustainable solutions
• Apply engineering principles, industry standards and design guidance to real-world projects
• Understand how different disciplines come together to deliver projects
• Take increasing responsibility as knowledge grows
• Contribute to projects that shape places people live, work and travel
