Job Description:
We seek a Graduate Health Physicist/Trainee RPA to join our team. The role reports to an experienced Health Physicist/Radiation Protection Adviser who will mentor and support on-the-job training. We will fund recognized postgraduate training. Responsibilities include providing technical support to clients, site inspections, technical reports, calculations, document reviews, procedures, radiological survey analysis, dosimetry review, radiation risk assessments, dose assessments, and radiological design basis development for new facilities.
The training program aims to help the graduate gain membership with the Society of Radiological Protection (https://srp-uk.org/) and accreditation as a Radiation Protection Adviser via RPA2000 (http://www.rpa2000.org.uk/).
Additional development includes advising on Environmental Permitting related to radioactive sources and waste, preparing RSA Environmental Permit applications, developing Environment Dose Assessments, BAT Cases, and Management Arrangements, and gaining skills in the Transport of Radioactive Materials.
