Qualifications

• Solid academic background: aiming for high 2:1 or First in engineering.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in FPGA (VHDL), PCB design, and embedded C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Simulate and implement signal, image, or data processing algorithms in VHDL for FPGAs.
• Design PCBs with FPGAs, SoCs, high-speed interfaces, analogue/RF filters.
• Perform schematic capture using OrCAD.
• Manage PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly subcontractors.
• Set up PCBs, write test firmware and software.
• Develop Linux device drivers for hardware.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking ambitious and self-motivated graduates to join their team in the summer of 2027. The ideal candidate will possess

• A solid academic background, on track to achieve a high 2:1 or a First in a relevant engineering discipline, or holding a PhD
• Exceptional academic performance, including straight A* or A grades at A-level (or equivalent), particularly in Mathematics and Physics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: FPGA development using VHDL PCB design and layout Software development in embedded C/C++

Key Responsibilities
