Qualifications

• Solid academic background with high 2:1 or First in engineering or PhD.

• Knowledge in FPGA development using VHDL; PCB design and layout; embedded C/C++ development.

Responsibilities

• Simulate and implement signal, image, or data processing algorithms in VHDL for FPGAs.
• Design PCBs with FPGAs, SoCs, high-speed interfaces, and RF/analogue filtering.
• Perform schematic capture using OrCAD and manage PCB layout, fabrication and assembly subcontractors.
• Set up PCBs, including writing test firmware and software.
• Develop Linux device drivers for hardware.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking ambitious and self-motivated graduates to join their team in the summer of 2027. The ideal candidate will possess

• A solid academic background, on track to achieve a high 2:1 or a First in a relevant engineering discipline, or holding a PhD
• Exceptional academic performance, including straight A or A grades at A-level (or equivalent), particularly in Mathematics and Physics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

FPGA development using VHDL

PCB design and layout

Software development in embedded C/C++.

Key Responsibilities
