Job summary

Pickering Interfaces Limited in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a Graduate Hardware Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development and validation of analogue and digital electronics for our high-performance test and measurement products. You will work with senior engineers on specifications, schematics and PCB layouts using Altium.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design principles.
• Familiar with schematic capture and PCB layouts (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad).
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs).
• Basic programming for embedded systems (C/C++, Python) is a plus.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development and testing of analogue and digital circuits.
• Contribute to schematic capture and PCB layout activities.
• Participate in bring-up, debugging and verification of hardware prototypes.
• Create design documentation including specifications and test plans.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure integration.
• Engage in continuous learning and development to adopt new technologies.
