Job summary

Prime-Appointments is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer in Colchester to design high-performance electronic hardware for global applications. You will own projects from concept through production, delivering analogue and digital hardware while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware development, rigorous testing, and a clear progression path toward Senior Engineer. A degree in Electronic Engineering and strong Altium experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in analog and digital hardware design.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout.
• Hands-on with lab test equipment and measurement techniques.
• Experience with high-reliability electronics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define product specifications with Product Management.
• Lead analogue and digital hardware design from concept to production.
• Create schematics and multilayer PCB layouts in Altium Designer.
• Select components to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Develop test plans and validate prototypes and final products.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams.
