Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer for an onsite role in Clacton-on-Sea. The successful candidate will lead digital and analogue hardware development, from concept through to end of life, collaborating with firmware, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams.

You will design schematics and PCB layouts, select components, and develop robust test plans to ensure high-performance hardware products meet reliability and production standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing hardware for electronic products.
• Strong schematic capture and PCB layout skills.
• Solid circuit design knowledge including power and noise considerations.
• Hands-on lab skills with oscilloscopes and analysers.
• Experience in cross-functional teams.
• RF design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing digital and analogue hardware for new and existing products.
• Creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium or similar tools.
• Selecting components and analysing performance and reliability.
• Developing test plans for prototypes and production units.
• Debugging hardware with lab equipment and validating designs.
• Collaborating with firmware, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams.
• Supporting products through full lifecycle and documentation.
