Job summary

WSP UK & Ireland is recruiting a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to help shape infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. You will work with engineers, engineering geologists and specialists to assess ground conditions and develop safe, sustainable solutions.

Starting September 2027, the two-year Graduate Development Programme blends structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience, with hybrid working in modern offices across the UK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
• Interest in geology, ground engineering and how technical decisions shape civil projects.
• Willingness to travel for site work and start in September 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ground investigation planning, data interpretation and reporting.
• Support design, construction and project delivery across sectors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, sustainable solutions.
