Job summary

Arup is offering a Graduate Geospatial Data Engineer position in Manchester. You will join a UK geospatial team applying geography, data and digital technology to inform decisions across transport, water, energy, cities and infrastructure.

As a graduate, you will collect and analyse spatial data, build clear maps and dashboards, and develop repeatable geospatial workflows using GIS, scripting and automation. You will work with engineers and planners on diverse projects.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Geography & Geospatial Science, Digital Engineering, Data Science / Engineering or Environmental Science.
Eligibility to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Recent graduate or on track to graduate before employment starts, with ≤12 months of full-time experience.

Responsibilities

Collect, manage, assure and analyse spatial data to support multidisciplinary projects.
Create maps, dashboards, applications and visualisations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop efficient geospatial workflows using GIS, data engineering, scripting and automation tools.
Collaborate with engineers, planners, environmental specialists, designers and clients to derive spatial insights.
Contribute to innovation, standards and learning across geospatial projects.
