Job summary

Arup in London is looking for a Graduate Geospatial Data Engineer to join our UK geospatial team. You will work with geography, data and digital technology to help clients understand places and deliver better outcomes for built and natural environments.

You will collect, manage and analyse spatial data, create maps and dashboards, and develop repeatable geospatial workflows using GIS and scripting. Collaboration with engineers, planners and clients is essential to success.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Geography & Geospatial Science, Digital Engineering; Data Science / Engineering; Environmental Science.
• Full working rights in the country of application
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, before employment starts

Responsibilities

• Collect, manage, assure and analyse spatial data to support multidisciplinary projects and evidence-based decision-making.
• Create clear maps, dashboards, applications and other visualisations that communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support the development of efficient and repeatable geospatial workflows using GIS, data engineering, scripting and automation tools.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, planners, environmental specialists, designers and clients to understand requirements and turn them into useful spatial insights.
• Contribute to innovation, technical standards and continuous learning across different projects, sectors and geospatial specialisms.
