Overview
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to the FP&A Manager and collaborating with the entire finance team on a variety of missions. This position is designed to provide a strong foundation in financial analysis and planning, offering hands-on experience and opportunities for professional development.
Your Mission
- Enhance Reporting Efficiency: Review existing reports, automate them where possible and relevant, and proactively suggest new reports that can provide added value for analysis.
- Generate Monthly Performance Reports: Produce a suite of monthly reports essential for understanding business performance, developing and maintaining a comprehensive monthly finance book.
- Support Regional Financial Landings: Support the monthly actual landings for the UK, France, Spain, and Hong Kong by reviewing accounting journals and suggesting accruals (including clear justifications for audit purposes).
- Assist in Departmental Performance Reviews: Prepare materials for actual reviews and discussions with assigned departments, enabling informed challenges to their performance when appropriate.
- Contribute to Risk and Opportunity Identification: Actively participate in identifying potential risks and opportunities relative to annual objectives.
- Drive Process Improvements and Cost Savings: Identify and champion process improvements and cost-saving projects to enhance efficiency.
- Support Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and report budget/forecast data into the SMC system for the UK, France, Spain, and Hong Kong, adhering to guidelines from the FP&A Managers and strictly respecting deadlines.
- Produce Consolidated Financial Reports: Generate consolidated reports for actual, budget, and forecast data, highlighting any unusual variations for other regions.
- Provide Proactive Analytical Insights: Provide proactive and insightful analysis to increase understanding of business performance, including return on investment for key projects and events.
- Develop Ad Hoc Analysis: Develop and prepare ad hoc analyses based on emerging business needs and challenges.
Your Talent
- Relevant university degree (e.g. finance, economics or accounting) with an interest in corporate finance and systems
- Motivated to join a fast-paced consumer-focused retail environment
- Self-starter who brings passion, resilience, enthusiasm & focus to your work with high standard of accuracy
- Curious and pro-active
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional relationship building and strong communication skills, managing various levels of the organization with teams based abroad
- Deal with confidential information with tact and diplomacy, 100% discreet.
Systems And Essentials
- Advanced Excel skills
- Any multi-dimensional systems, SAP / BOARD user is a plus
- Fluent in English is a requirement, Italian or French would be beneficial
