Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in the United Kingdom is launching AGGP2027 – a two-year Graduate Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer programme starting September 2027. You will rotate across the System Integration test department, work on fluid test rigs, and gain exposure to Landing Gear and Fuel Systems while developing leadership and technical skills.

The programme blends hands-on design using CATIA V5 with exposure to safety hazards and cross-functional collaboration, including software testing,

Qualifications

  • Degree in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in Fluid Mechanical Design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing fluid mechanical test rigs for Landing Gear or Fuel Systems.
  • End-to-end life cycle of test rig development from requirements to validation.
  • Utilise CATIA V5 and work with fibre optics, vacuum systems, pitch/roll tables and instrumentation.
  • Learn end-to-end process of test rig development and understand Landing Gear/Fuel System operation.
  • Gain experience in non-office environments with hazards such as Jet Fuel, Fluids, Hot/Cold surfaces, Noise and High Voltage.
