Job summary

Aztrum is seeking a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer to join our market-leading flood risk and resilience consultancy, based across the UK with an office in Bedford. Alternative offices available in Newcastle and Birmingham. You will complete flood risk, flood defence, flood resilience and property flood resilience surveys across the region. This role will offer full training and support from the experienced team; hybrid office work with potential travel across the Midlands.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• Driving licence needed for site visits across the region.
• Interest in flood risk, drainage and flood defence schemes essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform Flood Risk Assessments.
• Carry out Property Flood Resilience Surveys.
• Conduct Asset Surveys and Asset Management of river structures.
• Support design of flood defence schemes and river structures.
• Visit sites across the Midlands for surveys and data collection.
• Contribute to drainage strategies and SuDS/coastal structure design.
• Assist with flood mitigation schemes and associated works.

My Client, a market leading Flood Risk and Flood Resilience Consultancy, based across the UK, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Engineer to join their team in Bedford.

Alternative offices available in Newcastle and Birmingham.

Candidates are required to have a BSc/BEng in Civil or Environmental Engineering and a keen interest in flood risk, drainage and flood defence schemes.

A driving licence is also required for this role, due to site visits across the region.

This exciting role will offer you the chance to join a team of Flood Risk Engineers based in Bedford. You will complete flood risk, flood defence, flood resilience and property flood resilience surveys across the region.

You will be required to complete;

• Flood Risk Assessments
• Property Flood Resilience Surveys
• Asset Surveys
• Asset Management of river structures and flood defence schemes.
• Site visits across the Midlands.
• Detailed design of flood defence schemes and river structures.
• Drainage strategies.
• Detailed design of SuDS and Coastal Structures.
• Flood mitigation schemes and design including rock armour and flood walls, embankments and flood gates.

This role will offer full training and support from the experienced team. You will be expected to work from the office on a hybrid basis. You can also be based in Newcastle or Birmingham.
