Job summary

Stantec in London is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team on fire engineering projects. You will assist in delivering technical assessments, reports and design documentation while learning from experienced engineers.

The role offers mentoring, exposure to a broad range of projects and cross-disciplinary collaboration with M&E and C&S colleagues. As a graduate, you will participate in meetings, develop technical knowledge, and progress toward CEng status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with Fire Safety modules.
• Knowledge of Pyrosim and FDS would be beneficial.
• Keen interest in working in the Buildings sector.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks within the specified time frame.
• Draft technical reports of acceptable quality.
• Participate in client meetings with supervision and discuss simple design guidance.
• Identify how fire safety provisions influence overall occupant risk in designs.
• Expand on fire safety fundamentals and explore prescriptive solution limits.
• Develop understanding of project cycles and how new work is awarded.
