Job summary

Stantec is offering a Graduate Fire Engineer role in Glasgow or Edinburgh as part of our 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme. You’ll join a Scotland Fire Engineering team, collaborating with colleagues across Glasgow and Edinburgh with mentoring and professional development from day one.

You will support fire engineering design across diverse projects, contribute to early design input, and prepare technical reports to a high professional standard, with opportunities to pursue CEng status with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering with modules relating to Fire Safety and Fire Engineering.
• Proficient in Word/Microsoft Office.
• A keen interest in working in the Buildings sector.
• Eligible for professional qualification CEng with Engineering Council.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of fire engineering design across a diverse range of projects.
• Contribute to early-stage strategic design input for Buildings and other sectors.
• Assist in preparing technical reports to a high professional standard.
• Participate in client meetings and design discussions with senior colleagues.
• Contribute to applying fire safety guidance for straightforward design scenarios.
