Job description

We’re a fast-growing and ambitious team with a mission to run the finance software of every multi-academy trust, school and college in the UK. We help CFOs and finance leaders in education to work smarter and faster, using cutting edge cloud technology.

We are the Sage Intacct Partner of the year and have been helping organisations within the education sector to automate and simplify processes and access insights that will drive efficiencies and boost growth.

We’re looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic graduate to join our growing Finance team. If you’re the kind of person who brings energy into every room, is curious about business, and wants to build a career in finance — this could be the perfect place to start.

What you’ll do

This is a hands-on role that will give you exposure to all areas of finance, from day-to-day processing to supporting strategic decision-making. Working closely with our Finance Manager and wider team, you’ll play an important role in keeping the numbers moving and the business running smoothly.

  • Support the day-to-day running of accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain financial records
  • Help prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Assist with VAT returns, expense processing, and invoicing
  • Work with our wider team to support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
  • Get stuck into ad-hoc finance projects that will stretch your learning and build your confidence

What you’ll need

We’re not expecting you to come with years of experience — just a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • A degree in Accounting or a related subject (or about to graduate)
  • A keen interest in starting a career in finance and accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and great organisation skills
  • Confidence with Excel and a general comfort with numbers
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to pick things up quickly
  • Bonus points if you’ve had any finance-related work experience (placement, internship, part-time work)

We’ll Support You With

  • A learning and development plan
  • Study support for AAT, ACCA, or CIMA

What you will get from the role

Your package will include a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, flexible hours, remote working, a childcare scheme, and your birthday off.

Not only that, but you will play a critical role in our rapidly growing organisation, working with some of the most in-demand technologies in the world.

But for us, the main benefit is being part of a growing, ambitious and social team that is dedicated to supporting businesses on their growth journey, whilst having fun along the way. We believe in being transparent and collaborative and that’s why we have regular company briefings to keep you informed and an exciting social calendar to ensure we reward our hard work.
