Job summary

Arup is seeking graduates to join the Land Quality team, specializing in geoenvironmental ground conditions and environmental assessments for major infrastructure projects. You will support contaminated land investigations, desk studies, data analysis and sustainable remediation strategies within a UK-wide network of specialists.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to environmental impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and project delivery while developing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Contaminated Land or Earth Sciences.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Full working rights in the country of application.
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, before employment starts.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Assessments & DCO Support – assist with environmental assessments and consent applications for major infrastructure projects, including the preparation and review of technical documents.
• Contaminated Land & Soil Investigations – support site investigations, soil sampling, laboratory data review and contaminated land assessments to inform project design and risk management.
• Technical Reporting & Data Analysis – analysing environmental data and preparing desk studies, technical reports and supporting documentation to a high-quality standard.
• Project Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement – working with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders to coordinate environmental inputs and support project delivery.
• Sustainable Remediation & Soil Management – contributing to sustainable land management solutions, including remediation strategies, soil management, material reuse and climate resilience initiatives.
