Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join a London team. This entry-level role is ideal for graduates or those with up to one year of experience, offering exposure to ground investigation, contaminated land, environmental monitoring and technical reporting.

You will work across the UK, supporting Phase I/II assessments, sampling, data interpretation and client liaison. A full UK driving licence is preferred and ongoing chartership support is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Geo-Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or related subject.
• Ground investigation or contaminated land experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel across London and the UK.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ground investigations across the UK.
• Soil and rock logging.
• Groundwater and ground gas monitoring.
• Support Phase I and Phase II assessments.
• Environmental and geotechnical sampling.
• Assist with contaminated land and remediation projects.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Maintain project records and documentation.
• Support data interpretation and client liaison.
